Principal Engineer-Mechanical
Luis Garcia, PE, serves as Managing Principal Engineer – Mechanical. Luis brings more than 27 years of HVAC engineering experience focused exclusively on multifamily construction, including 26 years with LDI in California, where he played a key role in building the firm’s HVAC design capabilities. His work spans low-, mid-, and high-rise residential projects across slab-on-grade, podium, wrap, and mixed-use structures, and he has designed the full range of multifamily mechanical systems, from conventional split systems to VRF and water-source heat pumps, with an emphasis on practical, cost-effective, and code-compliant solutions. Equally valuable is his depth of experience in cross-discipline coordination, a capability central to our continued development of a fully integrated Design organization supporting Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Low Voltage/Fire & Integration. Luis holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona, is a registered Professional Engineer, and is a member of ASHRAE. Please join us in welcoming Luis to AMPAM.
